Primarily responsible for overseeing Accounting functions and activities; formulate Accounting policies and establish internal control system; determine improvement in the Accounting process flows for continuous system refinement; monitor compliance with government and company rules and regulations; maintain Chart of Accounts and other Computerized Accounting System related master files.
Prepare monthly financial statements and analyses; approve vouchers; prepare bank reconciliation; review payroll disbursements for local employees and Japanese expatriates.
Review the monthly cost calculation report and prepare a quarterly revaluation of inventories.
Calculate quarterly and annual corporate income tax; handle filing and payment of Income Tax Returns; prepare quarterly and annual reports to PEZA, BIR, SEC & BSP.
Handle the preparation of Audited Financial Statements and corresponding Notes to AFS.
Furnish reports and answers to queries and/or surveys by HQ, auditors, banks, creditors, government agencies, and other Sections regarding financial information and permanent records of the Company.

The current manager is asking to resign asap, so the position needs to be filled asap as well
A CPA is required, as there is nobody who has a CPA license in the department now
What they focus on screening is a candidate with strong manufacturing experience (as they need to do cost calculation and manufacturing-related accounting tasks), and also with tenure years (job hopping NOT welcome)
Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills; detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy; strong time management and organizational skills
Must be a CPA; sound knowledge of PEZA & BIR rules and Accounting standards & principles; experience with Computerized Accounting System
At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory and/or managerial position in a manufacturing company
