Overview of the Position:
Logistics/Importation is primarily in charge of controlling and supervising the flow of goods into the country up to the company’s warehouse and depots. However, it is not limited to managing overseas suppliers, cost analysis, and data gathering and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors the administration of the documentation procedures necessary to import merchandise and materials in compliance with federal, state, local, or country-specific regulations.
- Keeps track of and supervises the release and delivery of all import shipments from the customs warehouse to the company's warehouse, ensuring that brokers follow the predetermined lead time for release and delivery.
- Guarantee that all payment transactions are carried out in by the requirements.
- Resolves problems and expedites solutions with shippers and customs officers.
- Ensures that all documentation is updated and recorded in the tracking systems.
- Monitor the import team operations and workflow.
- Coordination and follow-up with the trucking and customs if required.
- Arranging and collecting shipment information, and monitoring shipment receipts.
- Contacting service providers and negotiating for best prices (shipping lines).
- Verify that all ongoing operations are proceeding as planned.
- Provides after-hour emergency response as required.
- Develop staff in both technical and professional skills through performance Using performance management, train personnel in both technical and professional skills.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Graduate of 4-year course (Custom Administration, Marketing, or any related course).
- Strong interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication.
- Possesses knowledge and expertise in import regulatory compliance.
- Knows the trade compliance.
