Description:

Job Description

  • Under the direct supervision of Import Supervisor; the position is primarily to perform the import shipping process of arranging and completing all associated paperwork of goods being imported from abroad. Correspondence is essential and therefore must communicate clearly and effectively with Clients, Colleagues and Agents abroad
  • ORIGIN PRE-ALERT & NOTIFICATIONS
  • Liaises with origin agents and retrieves pre-alert through e-mail or through Document Management System (DMS).
  • Timely notifies consignee or its broker upon receipt of the pre-alert and updates shipment status.
  • Provides the AWB Alert to CHI TUG team for the immediate transfer from airline warehouse to Cargohaus.
  • DOCUMENT TURNOVER
  • Coordinates with assigned Airport Representative on the retrieval of original shipping documents from airline 
  • Segregates the shipping documents for distribution to Client, Broker, Accounting-Billing & Import OPS File accordingly.
  • Checks the accuracy and completeness of shipping documents before handing it over to ultimate consignee and/or authorized broker.
  • Secures proof of payment for COD clients before releasing the documents to consignee or its authorized broker.
  • IMPORT CLOSING (Billing Generation & POA/POD encoding)
  • Verifies the information on the airwaybills before import closing in AFSA.
  • Generates the Debit note/ Billing Invoice for turnover to accounting department.
  • Encodes the POA / POD in AFSA.
  • INTERACTION WITH WORLDWIDE AGENTS & INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS
  • Coordinates regularly with foreign offices/agents for shipments status and monitoring.
  • Handles inquiries/requests from customers and colleagues concerning Import Operations activities.
  • Coordinates with sales on rate quotation and ad hoc rate for shipments with special requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Graduate of any 4-year course
  • Computer literate
  • Willing to work on extended hours
  • Should have good interpersonal and analytical skill
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Preferably male
