Job Description (Summary):
End User Support:
Provides timely and effective operational support for ERP / (MES) applications (Customer Demand Management, Production Planning, Procurement, Warehousing, Inventory Management, Sales, etc.)
Monitors the ERP / (MES) support queues and ensures cases are moved through the support process promptly and escalated when appropriate to bring to a quicker resolution.
Actively identifies and investigates system issues, and provides resolution and follow-up to end users.
Escalates more complex problems to support groups (Japanese Engineers) and then co-work with them.
Resolves problems by clarifying the user’s question/issue, determining the cause, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
Engage with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
Conducts remote, classroom, and one-on-one ERP / (MES) end-user training as needed.
Proactively works to improve existing support procedures, processes, and tools.
Develop, implement, and maintain the documentation of workflow and process, as per customer and business requirements.
Contributes to support knowledgebase for the Engineering Team to utilize.
Undertakes assignments on projects or special initiatives as appropriate.
Application Development:
Based on requests from overseas factories and/or the System Department in Japan, develop, update, and modify ERP/(MES) applications under the supervision of a Japanese engineer.
Hearing as is operation, plan to be operation model, design then implement along with Japanese Engineers.
Develop and provide other IT solutions to improve client operations, enhance business performance, and resolve issues.
Stay on track of the application lifecycle to ensure necessary updates are completed on time.
Remain current on technology trends to keep our software as innovative as possible.
Job Qualification:
Must-Have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or any related field.
At least 10 years of experience as an ERP Support Engineer or related roles.
In-depth understanding of ERP systems, particularly those used in manufacturing settings (e.g., Infor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Ability to create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for ERP configurations, customizations, and processes.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, .NET, VBA, etc.).
Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance.
Collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and support end-users.
Good communication skills to work with various stakeholders.
Have experience in reviewing and guaranteeing the technical accuracy of responding to inquiries from members as a (sub)leader and/or mentor.
Experience with integrating ERP systems with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
Understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and workflows.
English Fluency - Business Level
Nice to Have (Not required):
Skills in project management to oversee ERP implementation projects.
Relevant certifications in ERP systems (e.g., SAP Certified Development Professional, Oracle Certified Professional).
Proficiency in report development tools (e.g. Amazon QuickSight, SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, etc.).
If you are familiar with any one of the following, Japanese, Malaysian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Spanish, it would be a plus.
WorkingConditions:
WFH setup will be considered positively.
Monday – Friday (8hrs per day, between 7am-5pm)
With 1hr lunch break and 10mins. break in the morning and afternoon.
