The Role

 

The Web Developer is responsible for managing and overseeing the direction of Web Developers and Programmers and making sure outstanding delivery of tasks are in place. The role is also in charge of maintaining websites of both the company and the clients. It is expected that the person should be able to communicate with clients and stakeholders and translate the projects clearly into the team's goals.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintain existing websites of the company and its clients.
  • Oversee the tasks and progress of the projects being handled by the Programmers and Web Developers.
  • Lead the Developers and the development of their tasks as they follow the best practices especially on coding.
  • Communicate directly to the Chief of Staff, CEO, clients and stakeholders to manage projects and translate these into smart goals for the team.
  • This role is dayshift but must be able to accommodate changes on schedule depending on stakeholders' availability.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 5 yrs of experience in similar roles.
  • Proven ability to set clear goals and delegation of tasks, communicate effectively to all stakeholders and deliver results.
  • Advanced knowledge on different programming languages and technologies, specifically JavaScript/Typescript (Node.JS), HTML, CSS.
  • Advance knowledge on different Databases (SQL and noSQL) specifically Postgres, Redis, and MongoDB
  • Ability to understand and manage DNS, experience on using GoDaddy and DigitalOcean
  • Advanced knowledge on different frontend frameworks such as Vuejs and React
  • Knowledgeable on deploying websites using dokku, docker, docker-compose
  • Must have the ability to do Scrum Framework
  • Capacity to explain technical terms and processes to non-technical people and the ability to work well in teams.
  • Portfolio/GitHub Account should be ready and available on interview
  • Strong communication skills towards dealing with clients (CEOs, Top Management, Project Managers, Programmers)
  • Good-to-haves:
    • Knowledgeable on AWS, Python, PHP, C#, GitHub, BitBucket, CMS Frameworks like Wordpress, Drupal, Shopify, etc.
    • End-to-end testing using Cypress, Playwright, Puppeteer and Beautiful Soup
    • Experience doing QA testing
