About Accelerating Asia
Accelerating Asia is a VC accelerator that works with governments, not-for-profits, development organisations and foundations to run startup and social enterprise programs.
Based out of Singapore, Accelerating Asia runs programs across Southeast and South Asia designed to connect entrepreneurs to funding opportunities and equip program participants with skills across key business areas including scaling, growth, fundraising, operations and finance. Our network of partners includes UNDP, Enterprise Singapore, the Italian Trade Agency, the University of Queensland, the University of Adelaide and more.
Accelerating Asia will run a dedicated program for women entrepreneurs in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. The program will deliver a two stage program designed to equip 100 women entrepreneurs with the skills, tools, a network of peers, investors and mentors needed to scale regionally and to support 20 WEs raise investment. Alongside the program for WEs, we will also create a network of investors, mentors and government partners to support WEs.

The position will be reporting to the Partnerships Manager with project oversight.
The MEL Specialist will provide technical support in monitoring, evaluation and learning activities across the program.
The MEL Specialist will support the program team in planning the MEL activities and delivering impact reports and assessments.
Develop the Activity, Monitoring and Learning Evaluation Plan for the project.
Ensure regular and consistent documentation and that reporting deliverables are met timely and in compliance with USAID rules and regulations.
Support the program manager to coordinate with field staff to receive data collection and ensure data quality assurance.
Identify in-country MEL training and ensure that these needs are met and provide training on MEL activities as needed;
Ensure that partners submit reports within the agreed time schedule.
Collaborate with the Program Manager, to incorporate MEL by identifying key indicators and ensuring lessons learned are collected.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Program Director.
Deliver feasibility study on program sustainability and create impact reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in International Development or relevant Social Sciences.
Work experience including experience related to the position required. Previous experience on MEL systems for USAID funded projects will be an added advantage.
Experience with gender lens investing will be an advantage.
Experience conducting data collection required, including using qualitative and quantitative techniques.
Demonstrated experience in MEL report writing.
Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
Advanced knowledge of Spoken and Written English required
