Job Description Summary

The Social Media Specialist will lead the Company’s Social Media efforts.  This position will conduct research and identify opportunities to use social media to educate our clients and to build Staffhouse’s brand as a solutions provider.  This role will aid in the research and creation of content for the Company’s blog and help advance marketing initiatives through the planning and execution of external and internal events.

 

Key Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities

o      Create, develop and manage social media content that engages, builds and improves relationships with customer.

o      Develop and maintain content calendar to plan website, blogs and social media posts.

o      Research, write and edit posts for Staffhouse’s blog.

o      Write and edit posts for social media pages (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc)

o      Monitor impact of social media campaigns and adjust as necessary

o      Helps create landing pages to support marketing campaigns

o      Helps plan and execute marketing events

o      Keep current on latest web and social media trends through continuous training.

o      Raises brand awareness and protect brand equity by executing social marketing campaign using the most appropriate social media channel.

 

Minor Responsibilities

o      To perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time including but not limited to SAM tasks.

o      Assists other team where expertise is needed

 

Qualifications

Education

o      A Bachelor’s Degree is required; Marketing, Communication, or related field

Work Experience

o      2+ years’ experience in digital marketing and social media

o      Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)

o      Knowledge of project management and web design best practices

o      Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns

 

Competencies

o      Computer literacy is a must

o      Has the ability to think clearly and rapidly under pressure and uncertainty

o      Strong interpersonal and communication skills

o      Good Customer Service background for both internal and external clients

o      Has a good judgment and general intelligence

o      Strong written and verbal communication

o      Proactive and a self-starter

o      Has the ability to persuade others
