Branch Manager (Based in Kuching)

Role :

  • Ensure daily pickups and deliveries are performed on time to meet committed service standards and  the documentation is correct
  • Ensure operational issues that prevent the pickup and delivery of consignments are resolved in timely manner
  • Provide timely and accurate communication of information which affects service quality
  • Ensure that the consignment processing function operates efficiently and according to standard operating procedures. This includes the sorting, weighing, bagging, scanning, data entry, proof of delivery updating, DO return, tracking of Undel of consignments
  • Manage the administration of cash on delivery service to ensure accuracy and adherence to SOP
  • Plan and organize resources and processes to execute operational requirements of new customers/SOPs.
  • Ensure equipment and systems are functioning well for the smooth running of operations
  • Manage the station/branch fleet of vehicles to ensure they are maintained to high standards of road worthiness, safety and cleanliness
  • Manage the team to meet set KPIs and take corrective actions where there are shortfalls
  • Manage people processes at the station/branch, e.g recruitment, on boarding, performance management, control of attendance and discipline
  • Oversee the general administration and maintenance of the office/warehouse facilities and equipment, e.g housekeeping, repair and maintenance, permits, tenancy agreements etc.
  • Manage and ensure strict compliance of internal operational procedures and safety regulations
  • Work closely with other functions to resolve operational issues and to continuously improve the customer experience as well as internal processes.

Requirements :

  • Diploma/Degree holder in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain or related fields. Those without tertiary qualification but with relevant working experience will be considered.
  • Min 2-3 years of working experience in Logistics Industry.
  • Experience at a supervisory level managing a team of delivery staff is preferred.
  • Experience in Express, Courier, Freight Forwarding / International Courier / Delivery or B2B oriented business services depot is preferred
  • Good in Microsoft Excel
  • Technical Skills : Route planning, Transport management system software
  • Competency : People management, planning and organizing, drive for results
  • Proficiency in oral and written English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficient in other languages will be added advantage

Salary : Up to RM 5,000

Location : Kuching, Sarawak

Working Hours : Monday - Friday
