Overall Job Purpose:

      Prepare cost estimates by analyzing proposal and requirements. Answer inquiries of customers, concerns, and customer complaints.

1.   General Functions

  • Demonstrate compliance to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Operational Procedure  (Business Development Procedure).
  • Demonstrate compliance to the Company’s Quality Policy and achieve the target rating of the Quality Objective.
  • Maintain documentations and records required by ISO 9001:2015 QMS Procedure.
  • Assist / Take part in achieving the target rating of the Quality Objective and Key Performance Indicator of the Business Development Department (Sales Compliance must meet 95% compliance rate and Customer Satisfaction rate of 3).
  • Support the Operations department to achieve the quality service to the customer.
  • Support the Accounting Receivables in invoicing and collect unpaid / aged invoices from the customers.
  • Support Business Development Team by providing and communicating necessary information required.
  • Hit the quarterly target sales of the Business Development Department.
  • Meet strict deadlines in preparation of Bids / Quotations.
  • Take part in company’s program to reduce customer complaint and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor job orders status and update customer when necessary.
  • Supports business activities and processes that help a sales organization run effectively, efficiently and in support of business strategies and objectives.
  • Computing cost of Job operations/production or by allocating expenditure to various stages of Jobs or to different operations.
  • Ensures that the Accreditation Requirements/Documentation complete and be submitted on time. Coordinates with Business Development Engineer for the processing.
  • Understand the scope of work to bid.
  • Prepares Quotation. Estimate job and man hour cost. Identifies labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Responsible for promoting Business through Electronic mail and selling products or services. Sending mailers to clients for regular update for PGS services and technical bulletins.
  • Maintain the Customer Database up to date by adding new customer and updating old customers
  • Maintain quotation log with total up dating
  • Sales and other primary opportunities will be kept on a PIPELINE report for review and follow-up. This will be followed up weekly with management.
  • Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATION (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Applied Science.
  • At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in estimating.

  • Analysing information
  • Estimating, Planning, Reporting
  • Attention to details
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines

Able to analyze scope of work and develop estimates / quotations with less supervision.
