Programmer

JOB PURPOSE

The position carries out requirements in writing detailed precision programs for both CNC machining – Turning and Milling esp. Milling; and creating detailed work instructions for each machining component before starting production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Create a Cycle Time Sheet and Set-up Sheet for all machine components.

2. Prepare details of the required tools list and review stock level before machining.

3. Create detailed manufacturing processes for all machining components and ensure the program is timely.

4. Develop JIG and fixtures designs and make them available before starting the machining process

5. Develop and implement continuous improvement in machining to reduce cycle time.

6. Maintains all proven programs in the IP server

7. Assist machinists whenever they require guidance and know-how solutions.

8. Maintains working area to a high level of safety and housekeeping standards

9. Ability to work any shift needed to support production and any other duties or responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time

JOB SPECIFICATION

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

1. Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

2. 5 years of experience in writing programs for CNC Turning and Milling using CAM software or manual method.

3.  Deep knowledge in SolidWorks.

4. Deep knowledge of MasterCam.Works.

SKILLS

1. Familiar used measuring gauges (caliper, depth micrometer, bore gauges, and gauge maker.

2. Familiar with the standard and non-standard cutting tools.

3. Familiar with geometrical dimension tolerances

4. Familiar with Fanuc controllers

5. Demonstrate strong analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills and proficient shop math skills.
