Essential Job Function: 

1. Strategy 

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the company brand and the overall business. 
  • Work with Management to ensure marketing goals and direction are reflected digitally for each brand. 
  • Build communication plans based on Marketing briefs that identify digital strategies, objectives, and KPIs. 
  • Develop presentations to explain media strategy and rationale to management. 
  • Support the creation of campaigns to increase the relevancy and recognition of the company energy via digital media, influencer marketing, traditional media, etc., and brainstorm how these concepts can be extended into PR and organic social to maximize earned media. 

2. Media 

  • Negotiate, place, optimize and report on media campaigns and schedules across various digital platforms (direct, social, SEM and Programmatic). 
  • Keep up to date on the latest media trends, emerging media, and the holistic media landscape. 
  • Stay connected to the media marketplace and develop relationships with media vendors. 
  • Maximize the collection and segmentation of 1st party data and leverage to enhance media targeting opportunities. 
  • Investigate new, innovative media programs to support product launches, live events, and company activations. 

3. Operations 

  • Agency Management - act as a key stakeholder and relationship owner with agencies including media, creative, influencer, and potentially PR - brief agency, establish KPIs and goals, and conduct annual performance reviews to improve agency performance. 
  • Budget Management - manage budget across all channels, process invoices and billing. 
  • Legal - manage Legal approval process including contracting. 

4. Content 

  • Support executives in the development of creative content by sharing digital best practices and optimizing elements such as CTAs. 
  • Assess creative performance, make data-driven recommendations for content pillars, and develop test recommendations to continue improving performance 

5. Social Media 

  • Oversee social management and responses to comments/questions. 
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of a content calendar and digital posting schedule. 
  • Work with team to identify appropriate influencers for the company, nurture long-term relationships with key media influencers, and measure/report on performance. 

6. Analytics 

  • Monitor online and offline campaigns, and report on results. 
  • Monthly and yearly reporting on channels. 
  • Setting goals and KPIs for channels in line with Management. 
  • Monitor social sentiment and public image of the company Energy in earned media; analyse the quantitative and qualitative performance. 
  • Develop campaign wrap reports to break down campaign performance and apply learnings to future campaigns. 

 

Position Requirements: 

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Social Communication, Marketing, or related field. 
  2. Five (5) years of experience and proven success record working in Digital Marketing Communications and/or Public Relations. 
  3. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written. 
  4. Strong knowledge of current and emerging digital media platforms 
  5. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. 
  6. Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills. 
  7. Demonstrable experience with building effective media campaigns. 
  8. Comprehensive understanding of how media impacts brands and how it relates to delivering business objectives 
  9. Ability to create appropriate content for dissemination via press releases, social media, websites, and other distribution channels 
  10. Advanced MS Office user 
  11. Ability to build strong relationships with partners and internal teams 
  12. Must be articulate, confident, outgoing, focused but easy-going, pro-active, driven creative, and be a problem solver.
