About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced web developer who has a passion for converting Figma designs into stunning and functional web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WordPress and Shopify, as well as a keen eye for design and an understanding of the latest web development trends and technologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for taking Figma designs and turning them into high-quality, responsive web applications that meet the needs and expectations of our clients. You will work closely with our design and development teams to ensure that the result is visually appealing, user-friendly, and performs seamlessly across all devices and platforms.

You should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility, as well as a creative eye for interesting motion and interaction behaviors.

Web Developer Job Description 

• Converting Figma designs into fully functional web applications using WordPress and Shopify

• Writing and implementing code in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to bring Figma designs to life

• Building, maintaining, and updating websites and software applications.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, and develop content criteria.

• Collaborating with the design and development teams to ensure that the final product meets project specifications and client requirements

• Implementing responsive design techniques to ensure optimal user experience across all devices and platforms

• Directing and performing website updates and creating and testing apps for the website.

• Writing, designing, and editing website content.

• Evaluating written code to ensure it meets industry standards, is compatible with all devices, and is properly structured.

• Debugging and fixing any issues or bugs that may arise during the development process

• Writing and maintaining technical documentation

• Working with version control systems, such as Git, to manage code changes and 

• collaborate with team members

Web Developer Requirements

• Strong experience with WordPress, Shopify development, e-commerce. 

• Proficiency in converting Figma designs into web applications using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

• Strong HTML/CSS skills and experience with responsive design

• Experience with server-side scripting using PHP

• Utilize Git for version control and collaboration with team members
  Experience with CI/CD is desirable but not required.

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to deliver a finished product quickly.

• Strong portfolio showcasing previous website design work

•  Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)

•  Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field preferred·
